Miley is stepping into a new chapter with her 10th studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, arriving this September.
Miley Cyrus is getting ready to open a brand-new chapter of her career with ‘Bass Persuades’, her upcoming 10th studio album, set to be released on 18 September 2026.
Coming just over a year after Something Beautiful, the new project sees Miley continuing to evolve both musically and creatively. But this time, she's making a statement before fans have even heard the full album: she's officially stepping into a new era simply as Miley.
The album's title track, “Bass Persuades,” has already arrived, giving fans their first real taste of what's to come. The track combines a dance-pop energy with nostalgic synth sounds and a more rebellious edge, while its accompanying music video leans into a bold, fashion-forward aesthetic.
Rather than sticking to one sound, Bass Persuades appears ready to explore several sides of Miley's artistry. The album's tracklist includes songs such as “Different Religion” featuring Model/Actriz, “Let's Get Married,” “Orbit,” “Aftermath,” “REDLIGHTS,” “Neon Signs” featuring Andrew Wyatt, “Innocent Ways” and “Snow.”
Miley has described the project as an emotional reflection on music, love and life, highlighting the way music can hold everything from vulnerability and heartbreak to happiness and strength. The album is also expected to explore the different layers of love, including romantic love and the relationship she has developed with herself.
The new album also marks an important change behind the scenes. After more than a decade with Columbia Records, Miley has moved to Atlantic Records, with Bass Persuades becoming part of this new chapter in her career.
And if the album wasn't enough, fans will soon have the chance to see this new era come to life on stage. Miley has announced two performances at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18, marking her return to major live performances after several years away from the stage. Model/Actriz is set to join her for the shows.
With Bass Persuades arriving only weeks away, Miley seems to be embracing change rather than trying to recreate any of her previous eras. From the music and visuals to the decision to simply go by “Miley,” everything surrounding the album points towards an artist who is comfortable evolving on her own terms.
After more than a decade of reinvention, one thing has always remained true about Miley Cyrus: you never quite know what she's going to do next.
And that's exactly what makes Bass Persuades one of the upcoming pop releases worth keeping an eye on.
